Seniors, ring in the New Year by being prepared!
Recently in our area we’ve recently endured winter storms, floods, tornadoes, an earthquake and a hurricane.
Seniors (whether living independently at home, or in an assisted living facility) should have an emergency plan and an emergency kit, according to the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services and the American Red Cross. The emergency plan and kit should both be reviewed at six monthly intervals. Family members should be aware of the plan, as well as the whereabouts of the kit.
