Interesting elder care news out of China: a new amendment requires adult children to visit their aging parents often, or risk being sued. Parents who feel ignored or abandoned by their adult children can now take them to court. The law does not specify the quantity of visits. This new development is caused by an increase in the aging population, increased life expectancy, and the breakdown of the traditional family in China.
