A murder mystery novel told from the point of view of a woman with dementia has won a medical literature prize, the Wellcome Trust Book Prize. The book is titled Turn of Mind and is about a former surgeon whose vague memories could help solve the puzzle of her best friend’s death. The author, Alice LaPlante, a California writing teacher, was influenced by her mother’s 10-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Read more at Yahoo News (
