Angel Recipe: Layered Lettuce Salad
Layered Lettuce-Peas-Cheese Salad
- 1 large head lettuce, broken into pieces, well-drained
- 1/2 cup green pepper, diced
- 1 package frozen peas, separated
- 2 cups low fat mayonnaise
- 4 ounces grated cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup celery
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 tablespoons sugar, sprinkled on top
- 8 strips crisp bacon, broken into crumbles
Layer ingredients (except bacon), in order listed, into a 9×13 pan. Do not mix together. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Before serving, distribute the crumbled bacon over the top of the salad.
