Angel Recipe: Gingered Broccoli

Broccoli has amazing health benefits, such as helping to prevent cancer, helping to reduce cholesterol, helping reduce inflammation. It’s high in calcium and vitamin K which promote bone health. Broccoli contains phytonutrients which help in detoxing the body. It’s also a powerful antioxidant, a tremendous source of vitamin C, and is a smart carbohydrate high in fiber. It’s also delicious when cooked with ginger, another healthy ingredient!

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs. fresh broccoli, cut into pieces
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger root
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Directions:

Coat skillet with cooking spray. Add oil to skillet. Saute ginger and garlic for 2 minutes. Add broccoli and vinegar. Stir-fry for 3 minutes. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
