Angel Recipes: Rice Crust Pizza


  • 3 cups cooked rice (measures 1 cup uncooked)
  • 1 egg white and 1 whole egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 cups mozzarella, part-skim, divide into 2 parts
  • 1 cup tomato sauce, Italian-style
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
  • Optional toppings: mushrooms, onions, peppers, turkey, shrimp, salami, pepperoni, etc.


Combine cooked rice, eggs, and 1 cup of mozzarella. Spread the mixture evenly on bottom and sides of round pizza pan or oblong pan. Press to form a crust. Bake at 450 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove from oven.

Combine tomato sauce, garlic, basil, and oregano. Spread onto baked crust. Add toppings and sprinkle with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan. Return to oven for 10 minutes.
