Angel Recipes: Simple Sweet Potato Sticks

Did you know that February is National Sweet Potato Month? Sweet potatoes aren’t just for the holidays! Available year-round, they are loaded with key nutrients such as vitamin A, beta carotene, vitamin C, potassium, and rich in fiber. These essential nutrients help promote a healthy diet.


  • Sweet Potatoes, as many as desired
  • Non-stick canola cooking spray
  • Cinnamon


  • Preheat oven to 425°F
  • Wash sweet potatoes
  • Cut potatoes lengthwise into 1/4 inch strips (leave skin on for greater nutrition)
  • Lightly spray foil-lined cooking sheet with cooking spray
  • Place strips onto baking sheet in a single layer
  • Spray tops of strips lightly with oil
  • Dust potato sticks lightly with cinnamon (options: cinnamon/sugar, salt/pepper, other spice, as desired )
  • Bake 20 minutes
  • Enjoy alone or with a dipping sauce
