Angel Recipes: Amazing Toffee


  • 1 sleeve saltine crackers
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 bag chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts, optional


Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a medium sized cookie sheet with foil. Spray foil with non-stick cooking spray. Place a single layer of crackers on the foil and be sure to cover the entire sheet.

Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add brown sugar. Stirring constantly, bring to a boil until it turns light brown, being careful not to burn.

Pour sugar/butter mixture over the crackers and spread evenly. Bake 5 minutes.

Remove from oven and let stand for 2 minutes. Cover with chocolate chips. Once the chips start to melt, spread the chocolate evenly over the toffee. Top with nuts, if desired.

Place in refrigerator for several hours, then break apart by hand.
