People over the age of 65 are in the high risk category of developing complications from the flu, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Take action this fall—and every day—to prevent colds and flu!

  • The flu virus is extremely contagious and is spread through air
  • It’s important for people to wash their hands frequently to avoid spreading it on surfaces or by touching their eyes, nose and mouth

Ways to prevent getting the flu or a cold:

  • Always cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing
  • Avoid being around those who are ill

  • Clean surfaces or objects which may have been used by infected people
